I've downloaded Qillogist's excel version, I've saved a copy as an Excel from your Google page, but none of them work!!

The excel spreadsheet doesn't save the formulas for some reason, and as I said in my previous post the Google page only provides View Access.

As I am an ignoramus on these things I'm afraid this tool is only going to be useful for those who know how to fix these issues once downloaded...

@Doorman -- Thanks for the assist!

@Robin -- In case that doesn't work, here's a Dropbox link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ingttzfyizrnq ... .xlsx?dl=0

I've found Dropbox tends to be easier to work with if your system is finicky. Once it's open, use the "..." to get to the download option to download a copy.

Some ideas if its still not working correctly:

Are you using an IOS/OS X or an android device to open it by any chance? That might make a difference. I've only used Windows 10.

Are you using Excel? If you're using a different spreadsheet program it might not work right. It might also initially open in Excel online. Make sure you are downloading it (or otherwise saving it), and opening it with the full version of Excel. Also, it will probably open in a protected view since you downloaded it, so make sure that you've clicked the "Enable Editing" button in the protected view banner, or the spreadsheet won't work.

Also, check the tabs at the bottom and make sure you're on the Journey tab (there are the Journey, Math and Event Tracking tabs -- the only one you need to use is the Journey tab).

Hope this helps!

My solution is just for creating another google drive version and using it online so when I said "save a copy" I meant a google drive one. Hopefully one of these solutions will hook you up!

Well, I can now use it on Google Drive so that's good - still can't use it as an Excel spreadsheet in Excel, though (same problems as mentioned - I get #NAME in the blue cells instead of numbers).

Means I have to be connected to use it, oh well

Updated Journey Calculator!

It's reorganized to flow better through the steps of the Journey, and it now also automatically fills in the results of the rolls. It includes page references, since to make full use of the Journey Calculator, you will need to have a copy of at least of the AiME Players Handbook.

It has two tabs -- one the Journey Calculator, and the second a set of instructions on how to use the worksheet.

There are also two hidden tabs that do all the calculations and provide the info used by the worksheet.

It significantly speeds up Journey planning and rolls during the trip. (You need to add detail and color to the events.)

Comments are welcome.

Robin,

Please download the new version, and let me know if it still has the same problems.

One thing I discovered when updating the spreadsheet is that I had left the permissions on that let people edit the file. As a result, some of my formulas were overwritten by well-meaning users trying it out.

Sorry for any frustration caused by my not changing that toggle from the beginning.
