WWC Line

Post by Hermes Serpent » Fri Dec 01, 2017 1:38 pm

Sorry to hear you aren't going ahead with more WWC material using the Chaosium system. The line has been one of my favourites with quite a few SOE games being run and several WW2 London based games. Was planning on running more WWC-CW games this coming year after a successful run at Expo last year. Especially hard as the American Cousins book has just been released but I guess that the numbers just didn't make sense from a business perspective.

Looking forward to where you go with this line even if it uses something other than a D100 system (although there are several out there that would make backwards compatibility very easy).

Regarding the use/design of another system for the WWC line: Isn't it nice that you actually have a system in-house that has a very interesting sort of sanity rules built in? I'm talking about TOR, of course ...

Talking with Dom yesterday at Dragonmeet I suggested that they'll get better mileage out of a D100 system that was compatible with older material as that is how they seem to be going. SImilar to how Delta Green is a new system but closely compatible with the older version based around CoC, The new C7 system might go the same route for their Folk-Horror product line - a D100 system closely compatible with other D100 horror games.
