Treasure points to phat lewts?

How much would a treasure point in TOR be worth in cold hard cash in 5e?

I actually think it may be better to line up Treasure Points in TOR to the treasure table in the DMG5e. Should be just a matter of matching the two scales.

I agree with this. Any suggestions on lining it up?

Without really thinking about it, you could just match up find the CL of the monsters on the Treasure table on page 135 of the TOR rulebook as set out in the Monster Manual, then use that CL for the DMG Treasure tables.

In The One Ring, a treasure point is the equivalent of 1 month's living at a Prosperous level (pg. 134, Revised corebook).
The value of a treasure is reflected in a rating, ranging from a minimum of 1, equating roughly to the amount of money needed to sustain an adventurer for one month at a Prosperous Standard of Living
Pg. 147 of AiMe gives you the equivalent in the yearly expenditure. Prosperous culture annual cost of living spend is 12gp per year. Therefore, a TOR treasure point = 1gp in AiMe.
European FG2 RPG
Using Ultimate Fantasy Grounds - that means anyone can play.

That certainly makes it easier. Should match the lower treasure approach of AIME too.

I was just about to post this realization. It's a 1:1 ratio. Very nice!

I'm sure you already know this, but general D&D adventurers amass wealth ranging in the tens of thousands of gold pieces at mid- to high level.

So while a 1:1 ratio might work for converting TOR adventures into D&D, it most definitely doesn't work in the other direction...

Since a GP weigh appromately between 4 and 9 gr, so I would say they have carried some hundred kg of gold.

BTW, the sum of all gold mined since the begin of humanity is a cube of 20x20x20 meters, 8000m3 of gold, or something like 152,000 metric ton of gold.

It would be 6300 Milliard $ of worth today.

You're welcome.

Gold should be valuable and... precious.
