Roll20 - searching for HTML/CSS designer

99 Games of TOR in Roll20 in Q3 2017

:D 8-)
Congratulations TOR and Roll20!

I've been playing a Roll20 campaign for almost 2 years now and I enjoy the comfort that Roll20 gives me. I am a Pro subscriber using a lot of macros and API scripts and can't imagine doing without anymore.

I put in a lot of work myself in the beginning, translating the char sheet into German, changing / extending / translating many of the API scripts provided by Michael Heilemann originally, tweaking the macros etc.

The only thing I've never ever dared to touch and I am still not truly satisfied with is the way the character sheet looks, the layout, the design... TOR has such a beautiful design for its char sheets.

It would be so great to have the same / similar in Roll20.

But I don't have the skills, not even remotely, to start this endeavour.
Well, I guess this could be a starting point: http://azrapse.es/tor/sheet.html

So, is there anybody out there that could do this? It is a lot of work I guess, so it should be rewarded. I am happy to make a donation!

Are there more people like me out there that would donate? Let's create a fellowship pool and see if we can find a talented designer for this task - a "Master Designer", so to say.

Roll20 has been a good platform for TOR thanks to the work Micheal Heilemann and others have put into setting it up. And as I'm sure most will agree, Azrapse's character sheet is one of the best web tools ever made for any RPG. Bringing the two together (even if only using Azrapse's sheet as inspiration) on Roll20 would be a huge asset for the TOR community.

If it would be OK by Azrapse and Cubicle 7 and someone took up the endeavour, I'd definitely chip in what I could.

Something like this?

http://codeasart.com/torsheet/

It's only partially implemented, but I suspect that's what you were looking for. You can click on the boxes to fill them, or on the skill names to toggle underline.

At one point Heileman and I started to collaborate on a roll20 sheet like this, but roll20 wasn't playing nice with all the necessary css and javascript. He ended up going his own way, and I believe he's the author of the current roll20 version.

I started working on this one with the vague idea of building an online, interactive character sheet, where the text fields would be drop-downs, and when you picked one it would enable/populate other ones, etc. Sort of like azrapse, but with the character creation logic built into the sheet rather than being a separate UI.

Yes, oh yes! :D This is what I am looking for. And you've already put that in Roll20 and it did not work out to look the same?

That is correct. There would not be TOR on Roll20 without him - at least I wouldn't play it... ;)

Glorelendil, I fear you are not using Roll20 yourself?

No, not exactly. Heileman and I did something similar that did not work. The one I linked was something new I started.

Not with TOR; I've been only playing PbP or live for the last couple of years.

Glorelendil, if you allow I would give it a try to use your charsheet in Roll20.

Not sure if I will manage, but I certainly would give it a try with your permission.

Sure, do whatever you want with it. It doesn't have all the necessary fields, of course.

Glorelendil, I'm also volunteer for helping / testing your new TOR sheet in roll20. One suggestion : as i'm french, i could help giving the french vocabulary for i18n translation tool.
