Did they ever make pregens for the wild hobbit, iron dwarf et al?

Yes, Cubicle did. Most of the free peoples except men of Bree and dwarfs of the Blue Mountains, men of Minas Tirith and elves of Lorien had at least one pregenerated character somewhere (well, altough the "subcultures" hobbit of Bree, wild hobbit and woodmen of Mountainhall did not have pregens, too). Most of the archetypes were in the rulebook itself or in the region guides (Rivendell, Erebor...).

I put them all together in a useful "archetype pdf", so that they are always at hand...
