Is a SIMarill an imitation Silmaril? ;)
DR. MANHATTAN: I'm leaving this galaxy for one less complicated.
OZYMANDIAS: But you'd regained interest in human life...
DR. MANHATTAN: Yes, I have. I think perhaps I'll create some. Goodbye, Adrian.

One and the same, though the former happens to be a typo.

That be a bold move, even for an experienced Loremaster, bringing a Silmaril into your game. The recovery of one of the Jewels of Fëanor is a BIG DEAL and the Wise are likely to be very uncomfortable with the idea of a Silmaril remaining in Middle-earth. I can imagine Gandalf making arrangements (perhaps with the assistance of the Elf-lord Círdan) to return it to Sedna or even put it into the keeping of the Vala Ulmo. Those gems are trouble! Is Sedna supposed to be another name for Uinen, the Lady of the Sea and the spouse of Ulmo? I'm not sure I caught enough of her backstory as the YouTube video seemed to be missing the voices of some of the participants.

It seems that I can't check out your page at Obsidian Portal without creating an account. I can access your video though.

I'll admit that your map has me very confused. The company chased bandits into the Barrow Downs, but you show the party traveling north from Bree, away from the Barrows. Afterwards, they journey north again, towards Fornost Erain, but turn west after passing Lake Evendim. Then the party journeys west off of any known roads, bypassing the Shire to cross the River Lune and come to the Halls of the Dwarves. The route crosses the Blue Mountains without coming within a hundred miles of the Gray Havens to terminate at an unnamed bay in Forlindon. That might not be what was intended, but that is what the map shows. By the way, Tolkien never gave that bay a name or indicated the presence of a harbor there; I've been calling it the Bay of Thargelion (or, alternately, the Bay of Himring) and have speculated that there might be one or two Sindar fishing villages located there.

I could see heading towards Fornost if the group was seeking lost Arnorian knowledge that might cure Gandalf. But if they were heading for Mithlond, it would be much more sensible to return to the Great Road and pass directly through the Shire to the Tower Hills and the Havens (where the River Lune empties into the Gulf of Lune).

I'm happy to see that someone has found a good excuse to make use of the seafaring rules from Journeys & Maps.
