Where in the Anduin vale is the Easterly Inn located?
The location is marked on the journey map within the adventure. On the map it is located just under a pair of trees that are marked in an open area about 10-20 miles So of the Elven Gate.

I think I'll have Gandalf 'suggest' the fellowship stop at the Easterly Inn and pick up with stewed hobbits

Exactly what I am doing. I placed Rowanhold right on the edge of the woods a little north and west of Woodmantown. Figured I'd skip the first adventure in Wilderland and have Gandalf lead the party to the Easterly Inn.
