Operate Radio Calc?

Post by tsnouffer » Thu Jul 21, 2016 2:35 am

Both WWC: Darkest Hour and WWC:London have the calc Operate Radio at INT X 2%.

Let's say my INT is 70 under WWC:London's 7e rules

Does that mean:

A) WWC:London is a misprint as it is using 7e rules and it should be 2x the original roll of 14 for a total of 28%?

B) Double the INT 70 for a skill value of 140%. (I doubt it) :)

C) Multiply 70 by 2% (ie divide by 50) for a value of 1% or 2%.

I suspect it is A. That's a heads up as WWC: London goes to print and/or the PDF gets updated.

Thanks. Great settings.

It's cut n' paste from the WWC-DH hour book which is 6e. I used it at INT x0.5% when I ran a game recently but anything you want probably works well enough as it's not like it could be a life and death situation like Dodge.

But what if I can't get the radio to work!!!!! :D

I think 7e INT / 5 * 2 will get you there with the equivalent. Separately I submitted this to C7 as a typo.

Cheers

Might be too late as I know they got the lot of errata that I sent in 3rd week of May and incorporated that plus I sent Scott (Line Editor) a note 3rd week of June about Personality Types that I think got incorporated as well. I missed that the Radio Op skill was broken until I ran across it in play later.
