Website down-time?
Has anyone else been having problems accessing the main site and forums over the last few days? I have had errors over the last few days saying the site is down.
Re: Website down-time?

Re: Website down-time?
I know Dom is off at Gama and pretty busy, so I'll chime in with what I can. I'm doing some web work for C7. There was an issue with the hosting company and some older scripts, but we got it resolved and updated a bunch of software. You'll probably notice the forums look different. We had to update the underlying software and the old styles didn't work with the new setup, so we had to update with a temporary theme.
The sites should be back up now, but I'll check in on this thread every day and see if there are any issues reported here.

John, is there a way to set the width of the main pane in the mobile theme to a percentage basis instead of a pixel width? I notice when I'm using the new theme on my phone that I can't see the right side of any topics or forums, meaning it's hard to see if someone has posted something new who it is. (If a weirdly titled post pops up but by a regular poster then I worry less than if it's a new name... darn spammers.)

Hi John - I seem to have lost the link to the moderators control panel which used to be near the top of the main forum page. It's useful to quickly check whether another of the spam cops has already banned a spammer or if I need to do it for them (as we don't all have access to banning). Any chance this can be added back please?

Hi All,
John won't be back to answer questions or take requests - he very kindly dropped in that post while we were sleeping so that you had some communication.

I can see it as "MCP" with a little gavel at the top of the main index page. Can you see that icon? If not I can check your permissions, which may have been altered in the change over.misterharry wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2017 10:11 amHi John - I seem to have lost the link to the moderators control panel which used to be near the top of the main forum page. Yeah, it's just an new interface thing mostly, where things get tucked up into menus if there's not room.

Has anything changed in terms of joining the forum? There seems to be a surge in new members with very dodgy signatures - links to Viagra sales or in Cyrillic (which I daren't click on!).
