Re: Moria

The information I got from the C7 seminar at Dragonmeet and personal discussion with Dom is that dual-stat stuff in Moria is because the cost of producing a box set is such that it makes sense to include both game systems but it is not likely to be anything they standardise upon. Note that Chaosium'...

Re: Moria

I quizzed Dom at Dragonmeet yesterday and failed my Persuade roll to elicit more information as he's pretty tight-lipped. I asked (in the seminar) about maps for Moria (would we get stuck with a load of battlefield maps for the AiMe section of the box rather than some beautiful and evocative illustr...

WWC Line

Sorry to hear you aren't going ahead with more WWC material using the Chaosium system. The line has been one of my favourites with quite a few SOE games being run and several WW2 London based games. Was planning on running more WWC-CW games this coming year after a successful run at Expo last year. ...

Re: Newbie Questions

Here's something I wrote back in 2013 on the old board IIRC. Q: The rules say that if you modify a spell to increase range you need more POW depending on your computer and you need to make a Computer Use (Magic) roll. A: No Sorcery skill required. No instructions required as Computer Use (Magic) is ...

Re: Moria

Would need a new contract between C7 (or technically Sophisticated Games) and the Tolkien Estate as M-eE only have a licence for what JRRT granted them way back before the Silmarillion (which was written from his father's notes by Christopher tolkien (the man that just retired)0 so M-eE do not have ...

Re: Berlin

I picked up the Berlin 61 BRP source book from Chaosium for this reason. It's written as a monograph (not edited etc by Chaosium just the author) so it's a bit rough in places. It's also written by an American so treat the stereotypical culture comments about the various people in Berlin from non-Ge...

Re: Pre ordering from my local shop and Bits&mortar

This might be best answered by an actual C7 staffer rather than by a fan but as they are at Spiel in Essen this week an official answer may not be forthcoming until at least the middle of next week.

Re: Has Cthulhu Tales been released yet?

As a backer I can tell you that the last update (5th SEpt) said that CT was in the US warehouse and being split into the ROW shipment to the UK and onwards, and the US shipment which will go out 7-9 days after surveys are completed. So it's down to people completing their surveys ASAP and then givin...

Re: Buying from a third party

I think when I have purchased stuff via a B&M retailer I've received a link to a site and been able to redownload the file but I can't guarantee that's how C7 have it set up.
