Re: Converting Cthulhu Brittanica material to Doctor Who?

New material and any republished material must be easily backwards compatible with 7e in order to maximise their market for the C7 product. Making it Vortex would not do that so I think it's a non-stater.

Re: Our American Cousins

Presumably once the new system is in place C7 will be revamping material published under the old Chaosium licence. Timescale is probably years though.

Re: Republish MERP (Middle-Earth Role Playing) with I.C.E.?

Ain't never going to happen. M-E Enterprises are too savvy to consider fragmenting their revenue stream for a very niche product in an already niche market. Whereas there is the revenue about to warrant putting out any number of collectable Middle Earth figurines and other things one might describe ...

Re: Lake-town and Loremaster's Screen in the UK warehouse

As Jon wrote above the goods need to arrive in the US warehouse as well before they put them on sale. With current weather conditions and the Xmas break I expect they'll be on sale by the end of January.

Re: Future system for Cthulhu ranges?

No way that a Fate option is on the table. For backwards compatibility it will be a D100 variant.

Re: The fate of Our American Cousins...?

Again, talking to Dom at Dragonmeet a couple of weeks ago he stated that there was every intention to develop their own D100 system.

For example it might be based on an existing D100 OGL property just like AiME is based on the WotC OGL.

Re: The fate of Our American Cousins...?

As I understand it from talking with Dom at Dragonmeet there were two attempts to get the final campaign piece written by separate (sequential) teams of authors. In both cases they failed to deliver a publishable manuscript in time as C7 knew earlier this year that they were not going to renew the l...

Re: Future system for Cthulhu ranges?

There's plenty of British Folklore that would be super creepy and horrifying. I remember reading a lot of Machen back in the day and finding that very unsettling, similarly with Dunsany and Hope-Hodgson. As for the Laundry I can see a move towards sticking to Lovecraft only monsters (as Charlie obvi...

Re: Future system for Cthulhu ranges?

Well the only Mythos elements that would need to be dropped (as they are Chaosium IP or licenced by Chaosium from living authors) are some monsters (and possibly their associated stat blocks). There are OGL D100 systems (Openquest for example) that are so similar to the core COC system that using on...
