Re: Brand New to this Place With Questions!

Doesn't work like that IIRC. You'd have to go read the wiki there to see if that would work but I doubt it as the dice roller isn't accessible in that way to users.

Re: Brand New to this Place With Questions!

The macros that can be set up by the LM under Roll20 count up successes for you and automatically select the correct number of dice when clicking on a skill but if you don't use the Roll20 built-in free official TOR character sheets and just roll dice outside of Roll20 then you can use any d6 and d12.

Re: SO, anyone running a campaign via Roll20 or such yet??

I've run WWC-CW games in the past but always FTF. The issue you may have is getting players on the right page. By that i mean that they should be trying to play a game that mimic Le Carre's The Spy who came in from the Cold and not Jason Bourne, The Americans rather than The Professionals. Players t...

Can you divide characteristics by 5? If so that's about all the conversion you need.

Re: Brand New to this Place With Questions!

As one of the people who developed that Roll20 material and wrote the How-To it's very easy to install and use although not automatic, you will still need some familiarity with computer skills. It will do the die rolls for you and the official Roll20 TOR character sheet has bells and whistles that a...

I rather think that this falls under some sort of Public - Private Partnership Initiative in the form of ensuring value for money as proposed by the Blair government.

Re: Online Role Play tools for The One Ring

Currently Roll20 seems to be having ongoing issues with connectivity hence the need for alternative voice channels. It's because Google dropped integration with Hangouts for third parties forcing Roll20 to use alternative methods of voice and video comms that haven't proved ideal so far.

Re: Have a question

I suggest reading Charlie Stross' books for background and then reading through the rules. The rules work just the same as something like Call of Cthulhu (both based on Basic Roleplaying/Runequest 2). You'll need at least someone to run the game and a couple of players as well. I'd suggest finding s...

Re: Online Role Play tools for The One Ring

There are a few ways of running games online. Roll20, Hangouts/Skype and Google docs and Fantasy Grounds. Most others need a degree of technical competence that can be daunting (dealing with firewalls and routers) Of these three only Roll20 offers builtin character sheets and a degree of automation ...
