Re: Moria

Does anyone know the release date? Is there a pre order site up??? The guys at C7 will give us more news when there's something to tell so keep an eye or two on the website. However, in a post yesterday Jon said that he'd been working on Moria stuff so I think there's still some way to go. Hang in ...

Re: The Twice-baked Honey Cake conundrum

If I were writing TOR 2.0 I would increase the ways in which bonus dice could be gained, especially with experience. It really is a great catch-all for lots of narrative concepts that, in other systems, get their own rules. I often hand them out to players if they come up with good ideas, say somet...

Re: The Twice-baked Honey Cake conundrum

When they use their Bonus dice from the Preliminary rolls for Travels, then they can say "Beorn gave us some juicy bread with honey. Not the TBHC, but close to it." That’s always my answer to “how do I Sneak Attack?” You spend your bonus dice and describe it as a backstab. There's a lot to be said ...

Re: After the Watch on the Heath: What to do with Raenar?

However, I have not come up with a nice adventure yet. I didn’t just want it to be a journey to the tower and then combat... An open question to everyone (for ideas) but beyond the politics surrounding this, with Bard and his court and the Dwarves, what else do you think there is other than slaying...

Re: [Tale of Years] The Fellowship of the Free (Spoilers)

Fantastic as always and thanks for posting! Thank you and you're welcome. Can't actually believe we managed to finish it what with all the upheaval/real life issues I've had to deal with! Yes, amazingly fun to read, as always! :) :) The poem your player took the time to do was brilliant as well. Gl...

Re: Your personal wishlist for TOR books

A Shire book to play hobbits, with adventures aimed at children (like the "Hero Kids" game, aka including simpler rules, and easy-peasy scenarios for players starting at 5 years old and up). Sounds cool! Thought there are many different opinions on what is or should be age appropriate. So I am inte...

do you know how well they match LoTR or Red Box stuff?
I'm afraid not, mate. I find Red Box particularly small so even though I really like them I sold the ones I had as they looked so silly at the side of other miniatures.

Re: After the Watch on the Heath: What to do with Raenar?

That is a very interesting idea. Would you share how you got the Black Arrow back into Bard's quiver? I ran an adventure, actual play summary quoted here from my campaign thread: Adventuring Phase: The Black Arrow Late Summer 2951 The fellowship is called to the court in Dale at the request of Bard...
