Re: How much XP granted after a finished adventure?

Or just that the character's ongoing story leads to a natural retirement, whether due to age or having accomplished everything he or she set out to do. I think The One Ring assumes less of a motivation to level up your character than to participate in satisfying, Tolkien-like stories. In those, adv...

Re: How much XP granted after a finished adventure?

Again, I do like Rich’s point that an LM has to be careful of maxing out on XP towards the end of the long campaign to a point where any extra XP gains become irrelevant. However, I do think that the game system caters for this somewhat. ... And the idea that PCs should retire, however, without hig...

Re: RAW Travel and Corruption Tests

For Fatigue Tests I use the terrain type (eg, Easy, Medium, Hard, etc) and for Corruption Tests the region type (eg, Free Lands, Border Lands, Shadow Lands, etc). For other types of Hazards I play a bit looser and consider the type of Hazard, then deciding on whether to use the region type or the te...

Re: Marsh Bell, Don't Leave the Path, or Journey's End & Eagle's Eyrie?

Hi Assuming the adventures are the same for AiMe, it really depends on what you want to do with your game; are you going with a big campaign or do you just want to play a few adventures? If its the former then I'd suggest using my adventure as it ties together a lot of the elements, introducing plot...

This gets announced (what a great Xmas present for a mate) and then just heard that a new series of the League of Gentlemen is starting next week on BBC2. Could this week get any better!

Re: Audiences without the Cultural Attitudes

When I took a lot of the AiMe Audience rules and added them into my TOR game, I used the Cultural Attitudes table as an alteration to the Starting Tolerance which was based on the Character with the highests Renown/Standing for the Culture of the subject of the encounter. Tolerance could then be inc...

Re: Audiences without the Cultural Attitudes

In a sense this is what racism really is, a hardened and often unthinking accumulation of attitudes. Not really; rascism is quite explicitly about exerting power over other races and placing your own in a superior position. Its about creating obstacles within law and social systems that denigrate a...

Re: Seeking Advice: Kinstrife and Dark Tidings

I'm frankly surprised that "defend the village" isn't one of the options in the published adventure. It's such an obviously heroic act. As well as, when seeing the bandit force; run away, warn the village and take them north with you, tell Beorn! To me, go defend the village and go north to warn Be...

I never said I thought it was a good idea... however, probably unconsciously anticipating this, I had made some changes to the scenario which will help them.
Gotcha. My apologies; I missed those things when you first posted them in your OP asking for advice. ;) :D
