Re: *New LM* XP Rewards and Combat Scaling

I'm on the run right now, but a quick example: if a group XP award is set at 1, that corresponds to 200 XP for a group of 4 heroes. So if there are four heroes in the Company, each hero (if you chose to award their non-combat activities in that scene) would get 50 XP.

Does that make sense?

Agreed. Y'all have a lot of love for the material and it shines forth. I'm very excited to see what the next year(s) will bring forth for Middle-earth. The One Ring and That Other Game ( ;) ) as well.

Re: Woodmen of Mirkwood New Cutural Vitue

Woodmen of Mirkwood is short-hand for "Woodmen of Wilderland who live in Mirkwood". While it's conceivable that a Woodperson of Mountain Hall might be River-blooded, it's probably unlikely.

Also check out zedturtle's .sig and the new issue of Other Minds (in an adjacent thread) for starter adventures.
My signature will be of little use these days, but checking the FAQ thread for resources is not a bad idea.

Re: Singin' In The Battle

I tell my players that I'm okay with "comic book timing", i.e. that somehow the heroes are at once engaged in a quick-bladed fight to the death, but they also have time to monologue at their enemies (or their enemies monologue at them) and sing songs, etc. No, it's not super realistic, but it's a lo...

Re: Favourite Place in Middle-earth

Whatever edit you made seems to have taken, so I'm not sure what your last post refers to, Jake. My dangerous inability to operate the forum, mostly. I really thought I was editing my original post. But then realized I was quoting instead, but decided to leave it up, since folks probably wouldn't s...

Yeah, I really like all of Ithilien... The Window on the West is a beautiful place, and it's arguably one of the most important turning points in the Quest and a post-mortem redemption for Boromir.
Edit: Stupid smartphone
