Fortunately this has nothing to do with early medieval. This all takes place in an alternate, imaginary universe with its own timeline.
And without body location hits.

Re: Fatigue rules: too harsh... and one piece of trivia

What zedturtle says. If in need to dismount, Herubrand should probably take away his helmet to reduce a few points of Fatigue. A foot soldier of Rohan probably wouldn't carry a bow, and would reduce his armour to something a bit lighter. From my experience with the game, only rohirrim who will fight...

Re: After the Watch on the Heath: What to do with Raenar?

Elstan, First Captain of Dale, would go solo to kill the dragon unbeknown to all but to Queen Una. Before the first rays of dawn, with a golden spear and a handkerchief gifted to him by Una, he rides North. The Queen cries in the highest tower of Dale for some days, gazing at the distant peaks of th...

I just tell Jon what I want next for my campaign and he seems to oblige.

Re: Are you gaming against Canon and if so how?

Well, dragons are known for slumbering for centuries after great efforts and conquests. Raenar could just limit himself to hunting some goats and the ocasional traveller/adventurer on the northwestern parts of The Waste for the next 200 years. But of course, gamewise it is faaaaar more interesting t...

Let the PCs buy or trade TBHC's. They'll be tasty and lovely but will give no in-game bonuses. Beorn and his folk keep the 'good stuff' for themselves...
That's what italians do with their good red wine when they try to sell you Lambrusco (which no italian would ever drink)!

Re: The Twice-baked Honey Cake conundrum

Can't your characters just get "honey sandwiches" from the beornings? Why do they HAVE to get Twice-baked HCs? They don't all have mithril coats, or Nogrod-forged swords, right? When they use their Bonus dice from the Preliminary rolls for Travels, then they can say "Beorn gave us some juicy bread w...

Re: Getting poisoned through armour

But what happens to a poisoned character who is poisoned again? Since being poisoned does not mean "getting wounded" my reading is that nothing additional happens; the hero is already considered to be wounded (and needs to be actually Wounded to drop). A different reading, where getting Poisoned eq...

Re: What do you expect or want in a Gondor source book?

Thus, I'm writing a chronicle that starts the companions in that area and am converting adventures from TOR , D&D (gasp), et al: they'll tangle with everything from Corsairs, to smugglers, to Orcs from Isengard (and the whole can of worms that opens up about revealing Saruman :o ), to the Dark Men ...
