Re: Justice at Thranduil's Hall

Wow! Excellent use of the existing materials, and extrapolating what might happen based on how the PCs react and perform, Michebugio.

Re: [Tale of Years] The Fellowship of the Free (Spoilers)

Awesome summary! As I was reading it two thoughts occurred to me: 1) Thogrim must have had a Bout of Madness, and 2) The bit from the movie about Dwarves running over short distances (I was picturing Thogrim's shorter, stubby legs as he outdistanced his mates) Nice to see that you then hit both poin...

Re: Thranduil's court?

That's an interesting point you make, Stormcrow. It's hard to imagine such society with immortal members... wouldn't you get bored to death doing the same job for hundreds of years on end? Maybe they would switch jobs at regular intervals to keep the tedium away? Or take long breaks to go on a long...

Re: Rivendell Region Guide

I'm really looking forward to this one, as it's now the number one book that I have to consult and convert for my game, now that we've got so many of the others.

Re: Tale of Years- Company of the Seven Stars (Probably spoilers)

That last post by Rich is a really, really good point. For most of my RPG campaigns I write up summaries. For the ones I didn't (like my old Decipher LotR one), I regret not being able to go back and revisit things, as the memories fade over time. For many years now I have been all "up to date" in m...

Re: New guy trying to catch up

I (finally) get the Hardy Boys reference; I think I missed one earlier.

Let me just add that Tales from Wilderland is one of the best RPG products I've ever played/run.

Re: Play Aid Idea

I think the concept sounds cool, but I wonder how much use they would actually see. On the one hand, all of my 5e spell cards see a lot of use (I personally really enjoy having all the text handy and easy to see at the table, without having to flip through pages in a book). But last year I bought a ...

Re: On Slayers and Warriors

When you're considering potential totems, all, you might consider the ones from other books, too (I think they're in Volo's), like the tiger and elk.
