I tend to go with the TN of the appropriate Region as well, but Falenthal makes an excellent point about how even that might sometimes be different.

Yes, awesome that you're including some new material, as it gives me an excuse to buy this again, even though I already purchased Journeys & Maps. The cover is beautiful as well! 8-)

Great stuff, blankrubix ! Finrod had excellent ideas, too, and it's neat to see you incorporate them. I'd just caution you to perhaps have just some Encounters early on with your PCs and Tyulquin (i.e., discourage combat). I generally do anywhere from one to two adventures per year, and even those adventures vary. There's even been times where we've done more (like three), but most of the time we do a single one per year.

I think it only makes sense to remake that existing material. Not only does it (as the OP already pointed out) have excellently written material, but art has been done for it, it's already been extensively playtested (not only in-house, but by the gaming community), and it's gone through the approva...

You can look to some of the published adventures for ideas. For example, some have had a chart that gives what is happening to other NPCs, or situations around the PCs, while they fight.
