Re: Coming Soon for Adventures in Middle-earth: Mirkwood Campaign

Does anybody have a good dwarven city map that they may have used for Frar the Beardless and his quest to retake Greydelve? While I did that 'quest' with my campaign, I did so right before we switched (from TOR to AME), so I didn't have any kind of map or city. It was all theater of the mind for th...

Re: Yuletide in Wilderland

I suddenly feel like rewriting the Grinch using a Ring-wraith. 3 times 0 equals 0 so I'm not sure that would work. But maybe a renegade half-orc, living in a cave overlooking a village. With a Warg pup... And what happened then? Well...in Hobbitville they say, That the Half-Orc's small heart grew t...

Re: Moria

Frankly, this would be a good way for people like me to find out and get a good look at the AiME system. I remember Decipher's first game set as an introduction to Moria ( I played it with my kids) and later got the Decipher Moria set because of it. Point made. LOL! This part of your post brought b...

Of course, you know a good proportion of players would intentionally go looking for him, I would imagine especially on the AiMe side.
FWIW, I would bet my (AME) players wouldn't. And they are very high level with powerful magical weapons, and they just took down the Forest Dragon!

Re: Do any Loremaster allow spending inspiration after a failed roll?

I've seen players try to do that (roll a second die after seeing that it's a failure), but I generally don't allow it. I'm fairly liberal in handing out Inspiration; in fact when playing D&D I often give it to players that can't even gain it (because they already have Inspiration and have yet to spe...

Re: Your Bout of Madness episodes

In all the years of my game, we've only had two Bouts of Madness, and both with the same character. The most fun one was during The Watch on the Heath from Tales from Wilderland. One of our Scholars had a BoM, and I decided not to spring it on him/them right away. Earlier in the adventure, King Dáin...

Re: Moria

I was reading this book to my 4-year old: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51SX7HV7Q0L._SX258_BO1,204,203,200_.jpg in which the younger sister has an invisible friend, Soren Lorenson. In a few of the pictures there's a blank spot (e.g., in between the two sisters on the sofa) where ...

Re: Moria

Whoo-hoo! I'm really looking forward to this one.

I've read that AME is in the top 10 best-sellers among RPGs, so congratulations C7 with a very successful line! 8-)
