Re: State of Victoriana

It's not all that deafening (but come say hi at GenCon regardless)!

We have a policy of not announcing things until they're ready to print. I'll see if I can get the powers-that-be let me shed some light on what's upcoming when I return from GenCon.

Re: Opposed rolls help

"Bluff" was intended to be Act (as you're trying to look non-threatening) although I can conceive of situations where Bull might be more appropriate. Empathy is the standard opposed skill to Bull and Charm but you can use other skills; two opponents may try to out-Charm each other for example. If yo...

Re: Our Gen Con games sold out - more Gen Con GMs needed!

Just to add to that, we're currently looking for GMs for Doctor Who and The One Ring for afternoon (4pm - 8pm) and evening (8pm -12am) sessions.

Thanks!

Re: 12-person events at GenCon?

Hello! No, we aren't running 12-person events. Gen Con has a policy of lumping together all similar events that take place in the same time slot. If you see a 12-person event, that means we're planning on running two 6-player events, each with its own GM. Anyone who registers for the 'umbrella' even...

Re: Playing a Toff- An expensive business

The Star Chamber grants protection that is equivalent to the Peerage, although the agents can't hold themselves out as Peers (thereby not gaining the social benefits of the peerage). In this case what I'd rule is that your player is asking for a slightly better version of Higher Station. In this cas...

Re: Chase rules

Remember also that you can reduce dice pools by trading in every 3 dice for an automatic success.

Re: Queensberry Rules: Combat

I spent some time thinking about this and I do think that the easiest thing to do would be to drop All-Out Dodge. Choosing to Evade the whole round pretty much has the same effect.

Re: Martial Arts in 3rd ed

They're still compatible, although I've been meaning to give them an update.

Originally I was going to include them in Streets of Shadow, but they hit the cutting room floor when I realised that I could model them with existing talents. I still hope to do an update at some point.

Re: Building your own Marvels

We've simplified it in the latest edition, but I don't see why you couldn't use the Marvels rules (you may have to substitute a skill name or two).
