Re: Maps of Moria

I haven't seen the WETA map personally, but I'd suggest one of the MERP maps if you can find them. I found the first edition used on Amazon for $27.99 and the 2nd edition on SCRIBD. You can also probably find a free pdf if you look hard enough.

Re: Introducing Magic to AIME

I went back through my Decipher LOTR rulebook last night and remembered why I did not like that game. It is clunky and hard to follow. Re: Introducing Magic to AIME

I haven't actually purchased the books yet, but concerning the use of magic, the concept of magic attracting the Shadow would seem to be a good way to prevent too much abuse of magic. MERP had rules for this and they actually worked pretty well, at least for our group. Being long-running foes of the...

Re: Converting old MERP adventures

Yep, I'm not waiting for the conversions of TOR adventures to start playing -- I love this game too much! Oh, and I'm also more interested in the TA 1640 era of the MERP adventures (although I will eventually progress to a new campaign of the TOR adventure era, and, years from now, to the 4th age)....
