I hope they keep the Old Faith and add to it
Since the old faith was dropped by 2nd edition, wouldn't it be more accurate to say "I hope they bring back the Old Faith and add to it"?

-The problem is that [immobile full attacks]combat gets static and therefore less fun and exciting. not to step on any toes, but that honestly sounds like poor work on the game master's part (or alternatively, some incredibly stubborn players). you should run a battle giving the group a reason to n...

Re: Cubicle 7 and Games Workshop announce new edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

rather than the system itself, i found the actual weakness was that the rulebooks didn't provide a unified explanation of how to run through the basics of using the job advance system. people i got to play the game usually had trouble sorting out how it worked until i sat them down and gave them the...

Re: Cubicle 7 and Games Workshop announce new edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Has anyone heard if there are plans to produce sourcebooks etc. for the 'rest of the world'? I would love to see a decent WFRP Cathay, Southlands, Lustria etc... If they do so I hope the sourcebook information is packaged around a campaign, preferably ones that can take existing characters on a jou...

Re: Cubicle 7 and Games Workshop announce new edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

i wonder, will they only produce new content, or do they have license to reprint/overhaul older products? being able to actually get my hands on castle drachenfels would be a treat, and with there being a videogame tied to the 3rd edition adventure edge of night, making it compatible with the new ed...

Re: Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 4e

i am mostly hopeful they retain the causal "beer & pretzels" air to the game, which always proved to be a bit advantage in getting new players to enjoy themselves. high drama is good and all, but sometimes having a game that can go from battling the forces of evil in their stronghold to trying to ca...

Re: Cubicle 7 and Games Workshop announce new edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

I'm curious: how many posters in this thread are familiar with or active on the Strike to Stun forums or the FFG WFRP forums? I'm new, periodically glanced at what has been happening to WFRP but not in any particularly active way :) I've not done any work on this, but my thinking is that both appro...
