Re: Cubicle 7 and Games Workshop announce new edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

I'd like to ask something slightly off-topic from the good people here on the forum. The latest news (nobody seems to care for) is a new 1st edition scan going on sale soon. Could anyone please tell me what's the difference between this “colour plates” version and the Hogshead scan from the bundle? ...

Re: Moria

I'd be all in for a black on black Moria dice set. Somehow, I'd also like if the box cover looked like the advertisement picture.
I remember the sheer amazement I felt when I was first exploring Moria through Professor Tolkien's writings. This is the most exciting TOR/AiME product for me so far.

Re: Cubicle 7 and Games Workshop announce new edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

As many of us have written before me, I'm also glad that the new edition will feature more C7 input. It's nice to hear that 1e had a lot of impact on the writing team, I hope to see more of the 1st edition flavour. Count me in for the starter set as well. I like both covers, but I'm also not too kee...

Re: More WFRP news! The Enemy Within and First Edition

Excellent! Prepare for +1 Day one preorder. :)
Keep up the amazingly great work!

Ps.: In the mean time I'll gobble up the remaining AiME books I don't yet have.

Re: Cubicle 7 and Games Workshop announce new edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

I agree! Having never played the tabletop wargame myself, I've just read through the 8E high elven armybook. While it had some content that would translate fine to the rpg, a supplement would need a lot more personal level details. The examples you've mentioned would be awesome.

Re: Cubicle 7 and Games Workshop announce new edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

So, I want WFRP4 to have a familiar, straight forward system that doesn't get in the way of roleplaying and atmosphere. A system where it doesn't require much thought to take something from any previous edition and adapt it. I want scenarios coming out of the wazzooo. It works for CoC, which C7 wri...

Re: Cubicle 7 and Games Workshop announce new edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

As for myself, I like separate regional sourcebooks with a separate adventure anthology or campaign books tied to them, exactly how The One Ring line is released.

Re: Cubicle 7 and Games Workshop announce new edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

I'm honestly not sure where I stand on this issue. But I think that one should consider that the old career system because of the way it was built allowed us to have lots and lots of choices. I'm guessing if we were to allow a new career system where you could stay with a single career it indefinit...

Re: Cubicle 7 and Games Workshop announce new edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

I'm curious: how many posters in this thread are familiar with or active on the Strike to Stun forums or the FFG WFRP forums? I'm trying to get a picture of how many people are established (community) fans and how many people are relatively new. Regards, Robin Strike to Stun member here, though I o...

Two things I'm certain of

1. Cubicle 7 are not novices when it comes to creating rpgs
2. You cannot please everyone
THIS! Words of wisdom!
