My quest for answers led me to buy the pdf!

Spoilers: The werewolf ate it. Well, destroyed it, anyway. What a jerk.
Werewolves = Jerks

At least in Middle-Earth.

In What We Do in the Shadows they seem quite polite.

Re: When to find Magic Items.

Exactly!! Level 2 is fine (Loremaster choice). Especially since a weapon like Sting (elven made, First Age weapon), probably had 3 magical enchantments (Luminescence, Superior Keen, Superior Grievous, I'd say). So, a character like Bilbo would get 'Luminescence' immediately, then would get Superior...

Plus, it helps that a seemingly 'minor' magic item can grow with the character.
That's probably my favorite part about them. You can get one early but still have it get new and exciting goodies later on.

Re: A Question on the Hound of Mirkwood

that's exactly that i mean, when you compare with the animal companion of the ranger, it is far more powerful True, however the Ranger's animal companion exists in another game altogether. It would be more appropriate to compare it to another Virtue in this game. In fact, you don't get the full eff...

When to find Magic Items.

Just like the subject says, around what level do you think it's appropriate to stumble upon Sting, Glamdring, Orcrist etc? (Not really those weapons, just using them as an analogy.) I could see Bilbo being around level 2 when he got Sting, and honestly I don't think that's too early to find some pre...

The upcoming Rivendell Sourcebook will probably have a section on curses and removing curses from magical artefacts or legendary weapons and armour.

The TOR version did (as well as the rules for Legendary Weapons and Armour).
I'm extremely excited for Rivendell.

We're using the Pre-mades for our first adventure, Although our player playing Beli has renamed him to Clem Fandango.

Re: Question about events during journeys

Journey's are one of the best things about AiME, but I'll admit it is still hard to wrap my head around all they entail.

Threads like this one will pop up form time to time I'm sure. And that Thread Zed posted is indeed very helpful too me too.

Re: advice on exhaustion and rest on adventures

There are also ways to remove a level of exhaustion, like a Good arrival roll. I could also see it happening on a chance encounter with Gandalf, Glorfindel, or some other Inspiring person. Are there any Class features that remove exhaustion? If not, that could be an interesting design space to work ...
