Re: Mundane Rewards

Don't forget a modest +1 or +2 in Renown for the culture where the contest takes place.

I've house ruled that for every +5 in Renown in a culture, the character gets a +1 in his Traditions check and Reaction rolls.

What I wanted to say, is that in AiME proposed drawback for Rivendell elves is too severe comparing it to their power level.
In my opinion? Yes.

That is why the AiMe Dunedain does not have the drawbacks that the TOR Ranger of the North does.

Re: AiME errata (price lists)

Errata in LMG p.155 changes price of rations from 120c to 60c per day Okay, but isn't even that better expressed as 5s per day? I've covered this before. I think those cp prices over 12c need to be reduced by a factor of 20. So those 120c rations should be 6c. Please note that this is actually equa...

Re: Journey Peril Rating and terrain majority

I would also prefer to play events in the same order they were rolled, to have a stronger feeling of randomness and "blind luck" (good or bad), but it's only my preference. And you totally do that. The nice thing is that that Event (whatever it is) will be noticeably more difficult in Mirkwood, tha...

Re: Converting High Elves of Rivendell

By the way, Thror, I have some question regarding Artificer of Eregion Cultural Virtue and Enchant Weapons undertaking. It states that "you may only enhance weapon that do not posses Enchanted Quality". What about enchanting weapons with bonuses from other sources (Weaponmaster ability Birthright, ...

Re: Journey Peril Rating and terrain majority

In other words, a +1 on the roll isn't that huge of a difference, I would not agree. It's not only +1 to the roll (if you meant number of events), its a probably increasing DC of all challenges during Journey by 1-2 which is huge difference. Figuring out average is in fact very easy task. In this e...

Re: Journey Peril Rating and terrain majority

And THAT's why I assign Peril per journey leg, not per total journey.

A jaunt from Rivendell to Beorn's house? Well, roll for the number of Events. Then place the Events in Regions as you choose on the journey. The Peril will be determined by that Regions Difficulty number.

Re: New to AiME- Please help me understand lvl 3 "Rider" ability!

If you take the Dash action you may make an attack as a bonus action. " Dash is a full round action, that doubles your movement rate. You do not normally get an attack if you dash. This rule allows you to Dash and take a bonus action to attack as well. When mounted, your mount essentially becomes p...

Re: Weak Spot for the Forest Dragon

There's a pair of Feats that kinda do a simliar thing already in RAW 5E: Sharpshooter and Great Weapon Master. After they identify the "Weak Spot" you can just have them take a -5 to the attack roll and give them bonus damage when they hit. Honestly, I think if you were going to incorporate a weak ...
