Re: What colours do orcs and goblins come in?

I'm sorry - what do you mean about the elven glow? Is that in JRRT somewhere and if so could you please indicate where. "Before long the Elves came down the lane towards the valley. They passed slowly, and the hobbits could see the starlight glimmering on their hair and in their eyes. They bore no ...

Re: What colours do orcs and goblins come in?

Well, yes. I just meant their physical appearance.

The elves are too short, but at least some of them seem to have got the glow-in-the-dark bit right. Which bit is far too often overlooked.

Re: What colours do orcs and goblins come in?

To make Otaku-sempai's post on topic, the orcs in Bright look like they might not be out of place in Middle Earth.

Re: What colours do orcs and goblins come in?

Orcs have coarse hair and swart complexions. At least the ones whose complexions we are given at all were described thusly. Tolkein didn't really give us much description of orcs and goblins. They have fangs, claws, or at least claw like nails, are sometimes bandy-legged, sometimes stooped, and usua...

Re: Moria

Clearly I am unusual in this, but I actually like dual-stat products. I like comparing the two views of an NPC or monster, and seeing how the same concept is implemented in different ways. Never had a problem with it in the ICE days and would be perfectly happy if TOR and AIME setting material was ...

Re: Moria

Maybe we could build some prototype goblin traps and get Dom and Jon to help us "test" them. While we're at it we could ask them more questions about Moria and other future releases...

It could even be a competition, best trap design gets in the book.

Re: Moria

And traps. Perhaps as new hazard episodes... I love traps conceptually but rarely if ever are they implemented well. The Angry DM has a good piece on why they are problematic. Who would have constructed/set the traps in Moria? To the dwarves it was a living city/kingdom/mine and I don't set traps i...

New monsters. 'There are older and fouler things than Orcs in the deep places of the world.'
Yes, yes indeed. I would like to know some of the things gnawing at the roots of the mountains. Odd corners of Moria seem a good place to encounter new beasties.

Re: Moria

What about maps and the like? Do you think we'll get a gorgeous map of Moria? Perhaps a set of cards, that can interlock randomly, producing variations of hallways etc? Would this card set tie in with any delving rules? I am pretty sure the Dwarrowdelve is too big for a single detailed map showing ...

Balrogs only get Deadly Archery if they are using missile weapons (yes, even if airborne); however, they definitely have Dual Wielding. ;)
Dual Wielding was a Moria tease right from the beginning and we missed it! Sword + Whip of many tails = Dual Wielding.

Oh, they are clever fiends at C7.
