Re: Wild hobbits and Gollum

Well, I opened up The Fellowship of the Ring to where Gandalf tells Frodo what he learned of Gollum's past. I don't see any implication there that Sméagol's folk ever suspected him of murdering Déagol or anyone else. If anyone had guessed then Gandalf did not speak of it.

Someone have made a great research and have posted it in Google+:

I found it very useful
An Easterling assassin might conceivably have a crossbow (hand or otherwise).

Re: Attributes for woodelve archer

My turn for grief giving!! :D Ain't no such thing as an elve . Yes there is! Elve: a form of electrical discharge that is emitted upward from the top of a cumulonimbus cloud during a thunderstorm and that usually appears as a very short-lived reddish circle of light. The plural form of elve is elve...

Yeah, I haven't really considered Athletics because it doesn't say "delicate knife-work" to me.
If it is going to be that difficult then part of the party should probably try to distract the Huorn while one or two gather the flowers unnoticed.

I'm on my phone but isn't somebody going to link Book IV of LotR? Otherwise known as the Deadly Archery thread...
That discussion did cross my mind, but I really didn't want to refer to it.

Re: Attributes for woodelve archer

He also gave us a favoured skill and other distinctive features - the backgrounds are quiet nice but he allowed us to create our own backgrounds (still fitting to the lore). Do you think I should take the Woodland bow instead of the magic? (-> Do I only need 1 experience point to level up wisdom or...

Re: Attributes for woodelve archer

I have completely forgotten that our GM allowed us to distribute the points on our own :P Do you think choosing one of the two backgrounds/distributing the attributes in this way is a good idea for this kind of role? Also - do you think the Wood-elf magic virtue is a good idea to start with? Well, ...

Re: Nazgul and water

Well, besides being sourced in Lake Evendim (and I am going to assume that Elves inhabited the region right up to the Fall of Númenor), we can also speculate that the Brandywine gains some power from streams flowing out of the Old Forest.

Re: Attributes for woodelve archer

Hey, I am quiet new to this system and just wanted to ask you guys how you would distribute the attributes for a woodelve archer/loremaster and which talents you can recommend. At the moment I distributed the points like this: Body: 4 (+3) Heart: 5 (+1) Wits: 5 (+2) and I have chosen the elven ligh...

Re: Nazgul and water

From Unfinished Tales:The Hunt from the Ring, we have references about the Nazgul and their fear of water. “…All except the Witch-king were apt to stray when alone by daylight; and all, again save the Witch-King, feared water, and were unwilling, except in dire need, to enter it or to cross streams...
