Re: Sanctuaries and Patrons, what are they for?

...the decisions I take are generally based on my campaign, and the players', needs. They're still very Wilderland-centric so the focus is there with a little over spill around the edges, so to speak. I've therefore not needed to introduce any of those you mentioned as Patrons so I just haven't don...

Re: Is Ormal Noldor, Sindar or Silvan/Nandor?

Ormal is a Quenya name: the southern of the two Lamps of the Valar. That suggests that the Elf Ormal is at least Sinda, if not Noldo. Of course I am only speculating, but if I had to choose, I would say Sinda.

Re: TV series set in Middle Earth may be coming

I dunno, torus; I doubt that anyone else could have done a much better job adapting The Lord of the Rings into a film-trilogy. It is not like any studio was going to back an adaptation that would have adapted each of the six separate books of the novel into six individual films. Though, even with Ja...

Re: Sanctuaries and Patrons, what are they for?

Please do :) They're in here, pages 4 thru' 7: https://www.dropbox.com/s/n6doog3n4q4ko38/Additional%20Rules.pdf?dl=0 Rich, have you considered including any potential Patrons who have not received write-ups yet in TOR? I was thinking along the lines of Galadriel and Celeborn, Ecthelion II, Círdan t...

Re: First Copy of The Road Goes Ever On

Thanks, Jon. That was a much more comprehensive answer than I was able to provide. Now we can start guessing which supplement will be the first to include an active port city (other than Esgaroth). Dibs on the Grey Havens!

Re: Maps of Moria

Gave them a bonus of running into 11 year old Aragorn; still using his pre-name as the game is currently 9 years before he is told his name. So you set the start of your campaign in TA 2942, the year immediately following the Battle of Five Armies ('Estel' would have turned eleven on March 1 of tha...

Re: First Copy of The Road Goes Ever On

Looking forward to getting my copy. Is there information that should cause the new (AiME) Loremasters to purchase the TOR copy? Well, The Road Goes Ever On does seem to lack the section on boats, ships and travel by ship. If that wasn't incorporated in the LM's Guide then maybe it will be moved to ...

Re: First Copy of The Road Goes Ever On

I am so conflicted! I already own a copy of Journeys & Maps for TOR, but this has so much new material that is not simply copied from that.

Honestly, Stormcrow's post does not come across to me as either angry or unfriendly. Have we really reached a point where people cannot discern our intent unless we include emojis in our posts? ;)

Re: Could some of the 12 Dwarves have been female?

The Hobbit is a completely female-free book :) That depends on how you define 'female-free'. "To think that I should have lived to be good-morninged by Belladonna Took's son, as if I was selling buttons at the door!" And: [Bilbo] was in fact held by all the hobbits of the neighborhood to be 'queer'...
