Re: Victoriana outside of the Victorian Era

You know, I've just been looking at Cthulhu London boxed set from the Cthulhu Britannica range. I think that you could use Victoriana without too much dislocation in the 1920s and 30s. There are all the major class structures still in place with all the perceived injustices still extant but they are...

Soldiers of the Queen.

Doing some research for uniforms for various regiments of the British Army I found this site. http://www.soldiersofthequeen.com/ Photographic studies. A bit later than Victoriana but still.... As I've said previously, I'm not sure why but it seems to me the colonial aspect of the era is being neglec...

Re: The Railways

I had a feeling about wood paneling and brass knobs and such. Aren't train spotters the ultimate nerds? :) Chuffer info!!!!! :) Yes, I'll have a look on the interweb for pics and such. Shouldn't be too difficult to find pictures eh? I'd forgotten about canal travel. But, steam power was the future a...

The Railways

Hi all, Been starting another game of Victoriana. Character creation was yesterday. I love introducing the game and system to rpgers who have only played ogl systems. Or pathfinder. :) Anyway, in my preamble to new players about the setting and London the railways always get a mention. Now, that has...

The Martini Henry.

Hi guys, As you may know reading my previous posts, I am a fan of using these rules for a somewhat later time than 1856. I always had doubts about that starting date too but there you go. ;) Anyway, looking at the rules and the weapon table has anyone had any ideas or thought about how many damage d...

Re: New Game starting up.

Interestingly, I may have two new players.
In this instance I might start a new game/scenarios.
They might want to start their own association and one of the players from the other game is interested in carrying on.
So, still playing Victoriana.
I not giving up telling people about it.

Re: New Game starting up.

- Sympathies; losing the wrong character can be a campaign killer and three players and a GM is the best dynamic in my opinion. Re-gen for more rounded characters? Ghost his role yourself? Thnx. I've thought about doing something like getting the other players roll dice for the missing players chara...

Re: Another new game

Is your colleague perhaps a descendant of Evelyn Princess Blücher, an English lady living with her husband in Germany during World War I and writing a detailed account of life during the war and hunger, crisis and revolution afterwards? (Princess Blucher, English Wife in Berlin: a private memoir of ...
