Re: Cubicle 7 and Games Workshop announce new edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

C7 isn't like other companies: they got a distinct penchant for sneak attacks. Some supplements for TOR went from "just announced" to "preorder is open" in a few days.

"Magical Result" for the Battle skill

The battle is lost: treachery won the day for the Enemy, and a friend revealed his true alliance. The Hero got a fast horse, yet he refuses to flee. That would be his last battle. He brings the ancient War Horn of the Men of the North to his lips, and sounds his defiant challenge. The horn is a Woun...

Re: The Laughter of Dragons - Erebor Adventure Book?

For me, I'm glad that we are revisiting Rhovanion with The Laghter of Dragons. C7 drew a compelling backdrop out of the Wilderlands :)

Re: Derivative Plots

Long ago in a distant land, I, Sauron, the shape-shifting master of darkness, unleashed an unspeakable evil. But a foolish elvish warrior wielding a magic spear stepped forth to oppose me. After the final blow was struck, a Númenórean took my magic ring, and it was lost until the future where my ev...

Re: The Laughter of Dragons - Erebor Adventure Book?

(...) And don't get me wrong here - I'm very much in favour of including the big locations and characters - I think it's a big part of what a lot of us turn up at the game for. But I'm also very aware that the opportunity to make really strong stories, with our own heroes at their heart, sometimes ...

Re: Cubicle 7 and Games Workshop announce new edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

you know, it dawns on me- will they be able to reprint previous edition's books or are they limited to new materials? are the old companies even still around? geez, this is complicated.... C7 is selling the PDFs of the 2nd edition, and the scans of the 1st edition manual (first time in PDF. Hooray!...

Re: Pre-gens in Oaths of the Riddermark (typos and questions)

An updated file, with the corrected pregens and various other spottings corrected, is now available! Thanks for your spotting! And thank to Amado for correcting those errant pregens! Thank you, you had been really quick! Now, I'm a bit embarassed, but in ver.2 you have missed some very minor...

(...) - Saewara of Starkhorn is a Wanderer but has the Scholar's Shadow-weakness (Lure of secrets). Probably a mistake. - Seawara is stated to have a Grievous spear but the stats are not right for the Spear. Damage, injury and encumbrance suggest that it is in fact a Great spear so it should be ren...

Re: Oaths of the Riddermark - pre-order now!

and there is real danger. Being an Hero isn't easy. It looks to me that the final battle might even be too much for a starting fellowship, doesn't it? It really sets the danger threshold very high! Re: Oaths of the Riddermark - pre-order now!

Wow, first scenario is f****** good  The mood of this supplement really start to please me. It's more of an adult setting than the other supplement... I read it last night, and liked it a lot. To me, it keeps up TOR's tradition of "not pulling punches". There is drama, and there is...
