Wow. Just saying what you said about slings just shows that you are reproducing the consistent failure of realism in weapons in RPGs.
You should see my rules for dental hygiene for pre-industrial societies. Really more of a subsystem.
 I'm dying (and not for lack of dental hygiene)!

I do need to do some updates too, so thanks for bumping this thread! :)
Yes, we are waiting. Patiently so, of course. This is such a great read and source of inspiration.

Re: Moria

C7 delivers quality. We can stop worrying about how they are going to do dual-system. Express opinions? Sure. But they’ve earned more than angst and hang-wringing. Quoted for truth. I'll go one step further and hang my wringing, for typos. On a more serious note, I'm getting excited despite not hav...

Re: Cover to The Laughter of Dragons

This is the one that will break my shipping-cost-induced abstention from buying new stuff for TOR! I have resisted the lure of both Bree and Oaths, but this will be irresistible.

Edit: Once an order is placed, I will, of course, buy everything released since my last purchase.

Re: New to TOR: what do I need to get started?

I'll quote myself from another thread regarding the books since I'm rather happy about my write-up. I'll add that the tables on the back of the Loremaster's Screen are somewhat outdated. I'll throw my suggestions into the ring as well and I'll try to motivate my choices out of my experienc...

Re: Is there an updated Combat Stance Mat out there?

Many thanks Undead Trout! It does suffice very well indeed and is what I've sent out to my friend, we'll see what he can make of it.

My thanks to you too Rich. I've somehow managed to miss that your editions of the mat is updated, despite being an avid browser of your excellent material.

Is there an updated Combat Stance Mat out there?

So, I've searched for some time, but failed to find a combat stance mat that incorporates the new combat tasks found in The Adventurer's Companion. I love the ones from voidstate and the more stylized, but sparser adaptation from squarespace, but I would like one that's been updated with the new tas...

Re: Physical distinction between Houses of the Woodmen

I just want to say that I really, really like this idea as a way of fleshing out the Woodmen and creating distinction between the larger settlements. They are such an integral part of the campaign setting as it is written in the supplements, but they are also kept somewhat vaguely described and I st...
