Re: Are you gaming against Canon and if so how?

Mim that is really cool!! Shapechanging witches, Paulug Cats, and Svart Alfar totally fit in! Sauron would love them! Thanks! I've lived in England and explored The Edge more than once, ssooo I've kinda transported it to the Bree-land, and it rises on the northern skirts of the Chetwood. Gorlanc an...

Look behind you, a three headed monkey!
Ha! Yeah, I know, but I couldn't resist. Heck, we hopefully have fun playing these crazy RPGs. :)

That sounds quite fun to me. One could even go for sort of a Pirates of the Caribbean vibe with this, if one wanted to.
Thanks Majestic! I'm having a blast writing it and hope that the companions enjoy themselves.

Re: Are you gaming against Canon and if so how?

I love some of your ideas! You're going to laugh, however, when you read this because I also am writing a story-line about some servants of the Enemy who surreptitiously slip into the North and attempt to establish themselves in the time leading up to the War of the Ring and they're named -- wait fo...

I can't recall if I ever told you Rich, but you're doing an amazing job with your chronicle and I enjoy reading your summaries.

Re: What do you expect or want in a Gondor source book?

Thank you. :) You raise a great point about some of the other sources, and as it happens, I have some modules and such from other companies that cover that area, though am really looking forward to seeing what C7 does. As you and some of the others have said on this thread, the Corsairs make awesome...

Re: What do you expect or want in a Gondor source book?

I'll add my two pence by weighing in on the side of additional possibilities for the periphery of Gondor. In a nutshell, look what C7 are doing with the people and places in Middle-earth that Tolkien didn't develop in greater depth, such as the Vales of Anduin/Mirkwood points already raised. Heck, t...

Re: Holdings

Hi Mim, I'll certainly keep you posted, if holdings do become a thing in the campaign. (I may actually do a Tale of Years thread to describe how the campaign goes). I'll also be interested to hear what you do with them as well. Unfortunately, I don't yet have Ruins of the North, so I'm not familiar...

Re: Thematic disconnect for starting PCs?

I places an emissary from Dale at both the Easterly Inn and woodman town, who give out tasks to the party. I couldn't think of why my party would be going down along the Anduin to start episode 3, but will remedy that by having one of the emissaries send them down that way to check something out. I...

Re: Holdings

You've done some brilliant work Otaku-sempai, thank you! I've read your posts and your (western) Eriador sourcebook more than once since you've first published 'em, and have borrowed a few ideas. :) For example, you raise a great point about the likelihood of a crossing over the Lhûnduin, and I plac...
