Re: Usage of "enemy of Sauron" character trait

I think (and I might be wrong) the idea with this trait being invoked is in the opposite kind of situations. I think it would be more suitable to use it for example when meeting a group of rangers or elves or whatever in Eriador and they recognize you to be an enemy of Sauron so they act friendly to...

Re: Modred's Men's Motivation

It should be similar to the reasons why people vote for "dictators" Something along these lines should do: - It was much worse before him. - He provided us security. - Yes he might be a bit strict/harsh but these are hard times and he keeps the "peace" - He provided us food/wealth. - He made other t...

Re: Bree is available in PDF

I made the mistake of preordering it in March from a retail webstore. They told me it would take until december for them to receive and ship the book. So jealous of you guys ! but the book really does look awesome from what I have seen! the cover especially is beautiful.

Re: Storytelling vs Rolling dice

I don't think it makes much sense to ignore or forge dice results. Why roll the dice if you are going to ignore it anyways? If you think a certain result on the die will affect your campaign and story so much that you need to ignore that result, best is not to make such a dice roll available at the ...

Very impressive. Really sounds like a beautiful story...with a bittersweet end. It fits.

Re: Never played a roleplaying game, but love ME. Where do we start?

I think I will get the following: - The One Ring book - Tales of the Wilderland. - The Companion - Journey and Maps. I don't even think you need the Companion or the Maps when you are just beginning. The One Ring book + the Tales would be the perfect start. Companion has nice additional rules but y...

Re: Oaths of the Riddermark description from Bree sourcebook

That looks very promising. I always wanted the Rohan adventure book to be something like an Arthurian story. A group of King's Men trying to keep the peace in the land. Especially uncovering the mysterious horse killings adventure sounds awesome!
