Re: Audiences without the Cultural Attitudes

@JVV I do like the traits that you have come up with. Hospitable and Inhospitable are great ideas. However, these are Traits for individuals within a culture as opposed to that culture as a a whole. The character examples you use to back up your case are well considered and are extremely important w...

Re: Expanding Oaths of the Riddermark

I can totally understand what you are saying Falenthal. It’s just that there is so much wonderful stuff in there that might never see the light of day due to the inability of inexperienced characters to fulfill the requirements of the campaign. Oaths of the Riddermark is excellent. I’m not sure though that it’s original intent was for each of the adventures to follow directly on from one another, even though there is a suggested timeline for this. I reckon that it’s going to be very difficult for fairly inexperienced characters to get thro...

Re: Audiences without the Cultural Attitudes

I also don’t think that the Cultural Attitudes metric needs replacing. It fits perfectly with the setting and all that is really needed is a paragraph or two(for inexperienced LMs) explaining other types of parameters that might be used alongside it and that recognising and exploring the discriminat...

I’m with Anarfin on this. I don’t think that ‘not being a fan of 5ed’ should preclude Rich H from posting here either.

Re: A "Create your own TOR book" thread :)

I haven’t read Bored of the Rings in more than twenty five years. The joke was lost on me.

Re: A "Create your own TOR book" thread :)

I can only imagine that Davethelost has just suffered from an outbreak of predictive text and that he means Gondor and Mordor. :D

Re: Sanctuaries and Patrons, what are they for?

*****spoiler***** The Innkeeper of the Prancing Pony can be taken as a Patron. I guess, as long as you define their limitations and the characters know what it reasonable to expect from their Patronage, then anyone of any standing in a community might serve as a Patron. I’m not sure that there’s any...
